Hi, my name is Nancy Bunyea. I'm a special education teacher in the Hudson Valley, New York. I love to make academic tools for students. I have been an elementary special education teacher for almost a decade so far - mostly in public schools in Vermont, Maine, and for two years with the Peace Corps in Thailand. I have a Master's degree in Childhood and Special Education (grades 1-6), a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, and New York State Professional Teaching Certification.

I love to design and create academic tools to help students learn, teachers teach, and parents "get it". From board games to visuals to worksheets - my goal is to explain or showcase the concept or idea in the most simple, straight-forward way as I possibly can. I want everyone to be able to have more of those lightbulb moments.

I use the following resources to create most of my art, writing, and the layout for my work: my laptop and a wireless mouse, iPad and Apple pencil, a pen/pencil and a pad of paper, Google Docs and Slides, Affinity Designer, Camtasia, Affinity Publisher, Articulate Storyline, Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva, and Pixabay.

All materials created and shared here are based on the United States Common Core State Standards and my experience and training as a special educator. I've taught every grade in primary education - K-6. 

This site is organized by subject and topic - not grade. I have free materials spanning from kindergarten through sixth grade. 

Most of my work is free to download - and always will be.
